November Newsletter 2024!


Birthday Wishes in Sprouts classroom to Cecilia Park, Lucie Yoon and Dilan Gupta on turning three years old this month! Thank you to all the parents for taking the time to meet for parent/teacher conferences last week. We had a great time celebrating Diwali by decorating “Diyas” with wicks. The children have taken those home. We listened to some Indian music and dressed up in traditional clothes.


Important Dates: Sunday November 3, Daylight time ends. Please be aware the time change might have an impact on children’s body clock. School Closed in observance of Thanksgiving Holiday: Wednesday November 27-Friday November 29, 2024 December Holidays: Dec 23-Jan 1, 2025! The children are excited to make vegetable stew at school. They would like to bring in some vegetables to prepare the stew. We will send the list next week for your assigned items. fall feast: vegetable Sprouts class: Tuesday November 19 Blossoms Class: Thursday November 21 Curriculum highlights: Children worked on fall harvest especially, pumpkins and apples, they learned about their parts, made books and art works. In November we will continue to explore the “Transportation Unit and The Human Body” : the skeleton and the inner organs. Children are welcome to bring leaves fallen on the ground. We are looking at different kinds and shapes of leaves. We will be using them in art to make collage. Also learning about the parts of the leaf. Language area: We will continue to reinforce letter sounds and introduce two/three letter reading Math area: many new objects have been introduced to keep their interest in counting, addition and symbol to quantity association.
