Montessori BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION – A LOVELY CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONY

Montessori birthday celebration gives a concrete way for young children to understand the months of the year and the earth’s revolution around the sun each year. It also is a way for children to feel special and to connect with their place in the world. To celebrate in class, we request parents to bring pictures of their child from each of his years and share important milestones at circle. A healthy snack for the group maybe be brought in to share. Some ideas for snack are small muffins(no cupcakes please), fresh fruit or crackers. Snack should be low in sugar.

A friendly reminder to please sign in and sign out your child everyday with your full legal signature. It is mandated by State licensing. A big thank you to all of you who are consistently doing it.

We will use them to cut out pictures of landforms like the lake, system of lakes, island, archipelago, isthmus, Bay, cape etc to create their own landscapes. If you have any of them, please send them to us, we will really appreciate it.

In February: Children were introduced to South Korean culture by Ms Taerim. She showed them the traditional outfit “Hanbook” and they made their own. They tasted some special sticky rice with seaweed snacks.

Children enjoyed making the dragon, lanterns along with having a musical parade. They have been learning about diversity at school, in community and in the world.

The older children made doll outfits with patterned paper.

The Lyrics to the diversity song are as follows: It is available on YouTube
